Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has officially announced the availability of its Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone on the market in India.
The 6-inch handset, the largest and latest high-end device from the company, arrives in the country with a price tag of Rs. 46,999 ($757 / €550) attached to it, as fonearena reports.
The smartphone went official back in October with the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 (General Distribution Release 3) platform loaded on top, as well as with a series of specific enhancements coming from Nokia themselves.
Nokia Lumia 1520 features a 6-inch ClearBlack touchscreen capable of delivering a full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) resolution, and is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm.
The handset also sports 2GB of RAM inside, along with 32GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.
On the back, it features a 20-megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), auto-focus, dual LED flash, and support for full HD video recording. Moreover, it packs a 1.2MP front camera for video chatting while on the go.
The specs list of the new mobile phone also includes support for 3G HSPA+ networks (up to 41Mbps), as well as Wi-Fi (2.4/5Ghz) a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, and built-in GPS receiver with Glonass.
In addition to Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, and Ambient Light Sensor, Lumia 1520 was also designed with a 3400 mAh integrated battery, while also offering built-in wireless charging capabilities.
The Windows Phone 8 smartphone measures 162.8 x 85.4 x 8.7mm and weighs 209 grams. It comes with Rich Recording with four microphones, Dolby Headphone, Graphic equalizer, FM Radio, and various pre-loaded apps from Nokia.
Mobile phone users in India can now grab the new Nokia Lumia 1520 in their country in Glossy Red, Yellow, White, and Black color options.
