Windows Phone fans in the United States will be happy to know that Nokia’s Lumia 1320 phablet is now available for purchase unlocked. UK customers will also be able to grab the smartphone beginning next month.

However, the bad news is that Amazon US offers the international version of Nokia Lumia 1320, which is not compatible with US LTE bands. Anyway, those who still wish to buy the phablet can do so via Amazon for only $425 (€310).

Overseas, Carphone Warehouse will offer the Lumia 1320, but for the moment, the smartphone is listed under the “Coming Soon” tagline.

The Lumia 1320 has been specifically designed for the emerging markets, which is why the phablet was initially launched in several Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia and India.

Beginning next month, the smartphone is likely to go on sale in several European countries, including the UK. Nokia has yet to confirm the Lumia 1320 release in the United States, though there’s a high chance that none of the major carriers will offer it.

The smartphone’s main selling point is the huge 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Hardware-wise, the device is equipped with a decent 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

In addition, Lumia 1320 packs 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

Although the smartphone features full support for HSDPA and LTE Cat3, users in the United States won’t be able to take advantage of 4G technology.

Nokia Lumia 1320 also sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

Last but not least, the device is powered by a high-capacity 3400 mAh non-removable battery that should provide up to 670 hours of standby time or up to 25 hours of talk time (21 hours in 3G mode).
