In addition to confirming that the affordable Nokia Lumia 525 would be released in India at the beginning of January next year, Nokia also announced that the Lumia 1320 smartphone would be launched there at the middle of the same month.

The handset was made official alongside Nokia Lumia 1520 back in October, and it arrives on shelves with a large 6-inch touchscreen, the same as the flagship device.

However, Lumia 1320 was meant for the mid-range market, which means that it packs lower hardware specifications, and that it should feature a more affordable price tag.

Lumia 1520 was launched in India several days ago with a price tag of Rs. 46,999 ($757/€550) attached to it, but those who cannot afford it but still want a 6-inch Windows Phone 8 device will be able to go for Lumia 1320 in less than a month.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia announced the Lumia 1320 with a 6-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD IPS Super sensitive display that is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 coating, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.

The smartphone also packs 1GB of RAM inside, along with 8GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

The specifications list of the handset also shows a 5-megapixel back camera, with LED flash and support for full HD video recording, as well as a VGA front camera for making video calls.

Furthermore, as fonearena notes, Lumia 1320 comes with HD Voice capabilities, support for 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+ networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 + LE connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, and NFC connectivity.

The mobile phone also features a 3400 mAh integrated battery, as well as Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on top, with various applications and exclusive features coming from Nokia included. It measures 164.25 x 85.9 x 9.79 mm and weighs 220 grams.
