Starting today, mobile phone users in the United States can purchase a new 6-inch Windows Phone handset in the country, in the form of Nokia Lumia 1320.

The handset was made official back in October 2013 and has also been confirmed earlier this week to arrive in the United States on the network of Cricket Wireless.

Starting today, the smartphone is up for grabs at the mobile phone carrier, offering support for its 4G LTE network, thus being capable of offering appealing data transfer speeds.

Those of you interested in getting the phone will find it both via Cricket’s online store and through its bricks-and-mortar retail outlets nationwide, a post on Nokia Conversations reads.

“With the Nokia Lumia 1320, we are providing big value to customers at a budget-friendly price,” says Andy Smoak, AVP of product management at Cricket Wireless.

The handset was added to the operator’s offering with a price tag of $279.99 (€206) attached to it, but those who will grab it before July 10 will receive a $50 (€37) mail-in rebate via the Cricket Visa Promotion Card. Moreover, the mobile phone is available on monthly plans starting at $35 (€26) too.

Nokia Lumia 1320 arrives on shelves with a large 6-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, while being powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Moreover, the Windows Phone handset sports 1GB of RAM, along with 8GB of internal memory. Nokia also designed it with a microSD memory card slot inside, thus offering users the possibility to expand the available memory at ease.

On the back, Nokia Lumia 1320 features a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, which is capable of recording videos in full HD resolution.

In addition to the aforementioned support for 4G LTE networks, the smartphone also comes with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as with a built-in GPS receiver.

Moreover, it sports a nice range of powerful and useful applications, including HERE Maps, OneDrive, Beamer, and MixRadio. Not to mention the Microsoft Office and other business apps that will certainly work great on the phone’s large screen.

“Currently installed with Windows Phone 8, the 1320 will be updated for free to Windows Phone 8.1, which includes the Cortana personal assistant, in the coming months,” the aforementioned post on Nokia Conversations also notes.
