Today, mobile phone carrier Cricket Wireless has officially announced the upcoming availability of Nokia Lumia 1320 smartphone, with support for 4G LTE networks.

The mobile phone will be available exclusively through this wireless carrier starting with June 13, and will sport a price tag of $229 / €169 (after a $50 / €36 mail-in-rebate).

The handset will arrive on shelves at the operator with a large 6-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display capable of delivering an HD resolution, with ClearBlack technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection.

The phone will easily prove a great option for users looking for a large device to enjoy a great talking, texting, surfing, streaming and productivity experience at all times.

Additionally, the handset arrives on the market with a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, as well as with 1GB of RAM inside, and with Adreno 305 graphics.

Nokia Lumia 1320’s specs list also includes 8GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

Moreover, the handset can offer 4G LTE Category 3 (100 Mbps downstream) capabilities, along with HSDPA (42.2 Mbps downstream) connectivity, and the usual Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. A built-in GPS receiver was also included.

On the back, the mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel camera with support for HD video recording, complemented by a VGA front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The smartphone is powered by a large 3400 mAh battery, which should ensure long usage times for its users. The usual set of sensors was also included on the phone.

"Our expanding lineup of new and popular phones on top of a nationwide, reliable network offering more 4G LTE coverage than Sprint, T-Mobile, and Metro PCS, period, is a differentiator mobile customers will enjoy every day," said Andy Smoak, Cricket Wireless AVP of product.

"With the Nokia Lumia 1320 we are providing big value to customers at a budget friendly price."

Nokia Lumia 1320 arrives on shelves at Cricket Wireless with the Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on top, but it will receive an update to the Windows Phone 8.1 platform version in the coming months, the carrier notes.

The new OS release was made official in early April, when Microsoft announced that all Windows Phone 8 devices would receive it. No specific release date for the update has been provided as of now, but rumor has it that the rollout is set to kick off as soon as this month.
