Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is finally getting closer to the release of its Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone on the market in India.

Furthermore, the company has already sent out invitations to a press event set for September 26, suggesting that it will launch the device in the country then.

The mobile phone was made official earlier this summer and has already arrived on shelves in some markets around the world, with others more expected to receive it in the not too distant future.

The invitation that Nokia sent out to the press in India, which emerged online courtesy of fonearena, does not offer specific details on Lumia 1020’s arrival in the country.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia Lumia 1020 was announced with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a dual-core processor inside, complemented by 2GB of RAM. It also packs 32GB of internal memory, and a large 41-megapixel camera on the back.
