Lumia 1020, the latest high-end Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Nokia, is set to become available for purchase in the UK starting with this Thursday.

The handset was launched back in July, and it has already been made available for users in the United States and in other markets around the world.

In the UK, however, it will be released only on September 12, Nokia confirmed in a tweet. Even so, I’m sure that many users will be more than happy to be able to grab it.

Lumia 1020 comes to the market with a 41-megapixel camera, being the first Windows Phone 8 device to do so. Nokia launched it with Optical Image Stabilization and with a Nokia Pro Camera app to offer a great imaging experience to all.

It also sports a 4.5-inch screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, and front camera. The phone packs 32GB of internal memory.
