Shortly after Nokia officially announced the Lumia 1020 in India, the Finnish company confirmed that the smartphone would be available in Singapore as well.

However, unlike the Indian launch of the high-end smartphone, customers in Singapore have been informed on the exact release date and price tag of the Lumia 1020.

As UnleashThePhones points out, Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available for purchase in Singapore via authorized retailers across the country for no less than S$998 off contract, which is about $795 or €560.

Nokia Singapore has also confirmed that customers can pre-order the Lumia 1020 starting today and they will receive a black PD-95G camera grip for free. Keep in mind that the smartphone will be available in black, white and yellow.

This means that Windows Phone enthusiasts in Singapore will be able to grab Nokia’s flagship smartphone less than three weeks before the Finnish company unveils its next lineup of Windows Phone devices.

For those unaware, Nokia World 2013 has been confirmed for October 22 in Abu Dhabi, where Nokia is expected to announce at least six new devices, which might or might not be better than the Lumia 1020.

Nokia Lumia 1020 is the first Windows Phone handset to pack a 41-megapixel main camera with PureView technology. The phone’s rear-facing camera sports Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, optical image stabilization, dual-capture and full HD (1080p) video recording.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Even though it comes with 32GB of internal memory, Nokia Lumia 1020 does not feature microSD card slot for memory expansion, so users will be limited to the default storage.

Another strong point of Lumia 1020 is the 4.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (768 x 1280 pixels) resolution and PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack technology.
