Lumia 1020, the 41-megapixel Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia, is now available for purchase in the UK via wireless carrier EE.

The operator is currently listing the smartphone with a price tag of £9.99 ($16 / €12) attached to it, on monthly plans starting at £81 ($129 / €96) per month.

Lumia 1020 is one of the most appealing Windows Phone 8 devices out there, especially courtesy of its 41-megapixel PureView camera on the back.

The rest of the handset’s hardware specifications are appealing as well, especially since it arrives on shelves at EE with support for the carrier’s 4G LTE network.

Nokia Lumia 1020 was made official with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor packed inside.

The mobile phone also features 2GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal memory, and a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Furthermore, it arrives on shelves with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity packed inside, as well as with built-in GPS receiver (with support for HERE Maps, HERE Transit, HERE Drive+).

Nokia Lumia 1020 measures 130 x 71 x 10 mm and weighs 153 grams. The handset sports a battery capable of offering up to 12 hours of talk time or up to 250 hours of standby time.
