On Thursday, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia made official its first Windows Phone 8 smartphone that packs a 41-megapixel photo snapper on the back, namely the Nokia Lumia 1020, and the device has already been spotted as available for pre-order in Italy.

Users in the country interested in the purchase of the mobile phone will find it on the NStore.it portal, with a price tag of €699 ($913) attached to it, Plaffo reports. However, it seems that the initial listing has already been removed from the store.

The portal is said to have allowed users to reserve the upcoming mobile phone by coming up with a deposit of €99.90 ($130). However, the phone was said to start shipping only in October.

The device will arrive on shelves in the country in three color flavors, namely white, black and yellow.

As WMPoweruser notes, Nokia warns users that the actual release date for the device might change, which suggests that those who will pre-order it might actually receive it before October.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Nokia Lumia 1020 was made official with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside.

Furthermore, the handset packs 2GB of RAM, being the first Windows Phone 8 smartphone to include such a large amount of RAM, as well as 32GB of internal memory, with no microSD memory card slot to allow storage expansion.

On the back, the Nokia LUmia 1020 sports the aforementioned 41-megapixel PureView photo snapper, capable of delivering a great photo and video shooting experience, complemented by a front camera for making video calls.

The specifications list of the device also includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, A-GPS and Glonass, 3.5 mm audio connector, the usual set of sensors, and a 2000 mAh battery with wireless charging support.
