Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has officially confirmed plans to make the Lumia 1020 smartphone available for purchase in Sweden starting with October 17.

The company posted on Facebook plans to release the device in the country on that day, and also announced that wireless carriers and retailers such as Elgiganten, Telenor, Tele2 and 3 will be offering it.

The mobile phone was made official this summer with a 41-megapixel camera on the back, being the most advanced camera phone ever launched with Windows Phone 8 loaded on top.

The smartphone also features a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, as well as a dual-core processor inside, paired with 2GB of RAM. It arrives on shelves with 32GB of internal memory, front camera for video calling, and the usual set of connectivity options.

It has already arrived on shelves in some markets, but more of them are expected to receive it starting with October, as WPCentral notes.
