The Windows Phone 8 device is available at $199 (€142) on contract

Starting today, mobile phone users in Canada can purchase the Nokia Lumia 1020 in their country on the networks of wireless carriers Rogers and TELUS.

Those who would like to grab the new mobile phone will be able to do so at $199 (€142) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with either of the two carriers.

Nokia Lumia 1020 is available at both operators in Black and Yellow versions, MobileSyrup notes. Users should also know that they will be able to purchase it on month-to-month plans as well.

Lumia 1020 hits the market in Canada with a 4.5-inch HD touchscreen display and with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor packed inside. It also features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

Those who will purchase the Windows Phone 8 device will enjoy great imaging capabilities courtesy of a 41-megapixel camera on its back, as well as video chatting features via a front camera.
