The Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has announced today that its Comes With Music service has been launched in Singapore. Today’s launch marks the first time when the service becomes available on the Asian market, after the release of the Comes With Music in the UK back in October last year.

At the same time, the company has also unveiled that music enthusiasts in Singapore will also be able to make unlimited downloads from Nokia's online music store over a year, while only paying for a Comes With Music-enabled device. In addition, those that get tracks from the company's music store will be permitted to keep all the songs even after the ending of the service period.

The Nokia Comes With Music offers users around four million tracks that they can enjoy, among which songs coming from both international and local artists are available. The store offers genres that range from jazz to blues, to hip hop, soul, funk, pop, indie, grunge and even kids-related songs and soundtracks from movies.

International labels like EMI Music, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Warner Music, as well as Asian independent companies such as Ocean Butterflies and Rock Records also support Nokia's Comes With Music.

In addition to the launch of the Comes With Music online store, the company also says that its first Nokia 5800 Comes With Music handset available in red and blue will go on sale starting tomorrow for users in Singapore. The phone will feature a price tag of US $798. In addition, starting mid-March, they will also be able to purchase the silver-black version of the device.

The phone maker will also offer, starting tomorrow, Comes with Music versions of its Nokia N96 in black (RRP SGD 1238), Nokia N85 in cherry black (RRP SGD 938), and Nokia N79 in petrol black (RRP SGD 858). In addition, there will also be the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic in grey (RRP SGD 618) and Nokia 5220 XpressMusic in titanium (RRP SGD 558).

Along with the launch of Comes With Music in Singapore, Nokia also informs about the release of its highly-anticipated Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone in the United States. The device comes to U.S. users with an 8GB memory, support for all main digital music formats, a 3.5mm jack, a graphic equalizer and built-in surround sound stereo speakers.

The handset is available for purchase in the U.S. through Nokia Flagship stores in New York and Chicago, as well as on the company's website and at various retailers and e-tailers.
