Nokia launched a brand new Nokia Music Store, this time for Ireland, providing Irish music fans with access to more than 2.5 million songs at any hour of the day and night. Including tracks from globally known artists, as well as from those who only got the chance to be heard in Ireland, the new Nokia Music Store offers a great freedom when it comes to choosing your favorite music.

Irish users will be from now on able to download tracks directly on their mobile phones or on their PCs. The music you download can be easily synchronized between your handset and your desktop PC, with the help of Windows Media Player. Songs can be purchased either individually, for 1 Euro per track, or coming with the entire album they belong to, for prices starting at 10 Euro. Also, monthly subscriptions can be made, for unlimited streaming.

The Irish Nokia Music Store will concentrate on local artists more than any other on-line digital media store. Therefore, even debutant artists will appear in the store, along with the already famous ones. For example, Cathy Davey, The Coronas or Glen Hansard are already available for music fans.

Speaking about the new Irish Music Store launching, Mr. Alan O'Hara, General Manager of Nokia Ireland, said: "As the world's largest manufacturer of digital music players, millions of consumers from around the world can enjoy our music experiences. We're dedicated to delivering the best music experience, based on products and services that offer consumers choice, relevance, and ease of use. We also want to be more locally relevant than any other digital music store in Ireland. "

To make the new Music Store even more attractive, Nokia offers no less than "24,000 free music vouchers" for those who access the website. Valuing between 1 and 10 Euro, the vouchers also bring users the chance to enter a contest which comes with nice prizes, including a Nokia N95 8GB phone, Bluetooth speakers and one whole year of free and unlimited music streaming from the Store. Even more, Nokia gives away free tracks every week, and it made a Tom Baxter song available at no fees, for all users who enter the on-line Music Store (for a limited period).
