After Nokia 7310 Classic was renamed Nokia 7310 SuperNova, two new handsets that bear the SuperNova name have appeared: Nokia 7510 SuperNova and Nokia 7610 SuperNova. The handsets were not officially announced, but they both appear on the Nokia Poland website.
As the 7310 model, the new SuperNova Nokia phones are not high-end, as their name would let us think, but they bring a set of pretty nice features.
The 7510 SuperNova comes in a clamshell form factor and its list of specs unveils the following features: a 240 x 320 pixel internal display with 16 million colors, an external hidden display with 128 x 160 pixels, quad-band GSM connectivity with EDGE, Symbian S40 OS, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording, Bluetooth 2.0, Music player, FM radio with RDS, a 2.5mm headset jack and 27MB of expandable memory (a 512MB card is included). The 7510 clamshell measures 92 x 46 x 17 millimeters (when closed), weighs 124 grams and has a battery capable of providing up to 3 hours of talk-time and up to 300 hours of stand-by time.
Nokia 7610 SuperNova is a bit more advanced than the 7510 and it comes in a slider form factor. The 7610 also runs on Symbian S40 and features a 240 x 320 pixel display with 16 million colors, a 3.2 photo camera with auto focus, flash and video, Music player, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio with RDS, 64MB of internal memory, microSD card slot and a battery that should keep the phone functional for up to 5.4 hours in talk-time mode and up to 300 hours in stand-by mode.
As the SuperNova clamshell, the 7610 only has quad-band GSM connectivity with EDGE, but it's smaller and lighter, measuring 98 x 48 x 15 millimeters and weighing 99 grams.
Although both the 7510 SuperNova and 7610 SuperNova are listed on the Polish website of Nokia, for the moment there are images only with the clamshell (click here), as the page designed for 7610 doesn't seem to work. Anyway, we should expect the new handsets to be released across Europe in a short time, for decent prices.
