Nokia's aim with this project is keep you so informed using the Internet and the new N97 phone, that you might actually get the feeling that all these structures are working for you in particular. Also, adding the Ovi services to this new device, Nokia is telling us to imagine what it would be like if we really were to know everything that's going on around us, around our city and around the world. Moreover, by using all these services and applications, staying connected to friends, family or whomever we are interested in is now the easiest thing in the world.

President and CEO of Nokia, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, had this to say about the N97: "Today, we are at the threshold of another profound change in the way we connect and interact with each other and with our world. [...] We are, in fact, transforming the Internet, putting in your hands the power to be more in tune with the world around you."

On the other hand, Kallasvuo also tried to explain that the company was the most fit to use the Internet's power for the people, mostly because of its more than one billion users and due to its immense experience in the mobile business. "This is a world where you will have the power to tailor and personalize your Internet how and when you like, to make your day-to-day life easier and more fulfilling." Kallasvuo said.

The Ovi services mentioned earlier are part of the delight this Nokia brings through its Ovi Maps and Ovi Mail applications. As you are to discover, the Ovi Maps is more than just a Mapping tool, allowing users to know ahead each step they're going to make during a trip they are planning. This is possible mainly because this service grants access to pre-planned routes and favorite destinations, while also allowing users to sync their mobile to the PC so that they are able to make changes the moment they think of them. The Maps service, besides being the only free application with such features incorporated, also includes sharing the user’s location and all other contents of choice with friends, without even breaking a sweat.

The Mail application on Ovi service is also said to become very popular among all kinds of users, and mostly with those that have not yet had the privilege of using any Mail service ever. Using the Ovi Mail Service, it will become extremely to use an already existent Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Hotmail, Gmail or other mail services, for most such applications will be accessible from Ovi. Moreover, this kind of navigation will be done swiftly mostly because of the well designed and structured services Ovi is bringing.

Disregarding the earlier mentioned features, the N97 is a most impressive mobile on its own, should we take a peek at its specs: the 3.5'' touchscreen display and the full QWERTY keyboard are combined almost perfectly to create an easily manageable device for messaging, multimedia or social tasks. Also, the touchscreen features are said to have been exploited to their maximum, in order to deliver the most pleasant experience yet, not to mention that this device is designed so that it always knows the area of the world it is in, so, by using its own incorporated compass feature, it also comes to your assistance with the A-GPS system.

Nevertheless, the N97 doesn't stop here and goes further to break another barrier by delivering a storage memory of 32GB, and also disposing of a memory card slot for microSD cards for up to 16GB. Such recommendations invite users to store as much music and video as possible, since it also comes with the promise that it is going to run while listening to music for about 37 hours at a time and 4.5 hours of video at once.

The only features remaining are the 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss, dual LED Flash camera, the HSDPA connectivity, the GPS, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth support, plus the always popular 3.5mm jack. After carefully considering all these, somehow revolutionary features and the fact that it is going to cost somewhere around 550 Euros, it seems more like a bargain than anything else. The device has been launched today and it has already started shipping, so get ready for it.
