Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia made official a new smartphone running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, namely the Lumia 625, which packs the largest screen in the company’s current lineup.

Speaking to Nokia Conversations, Kyeyoung Kang and Jenny Cui from the Nokia Design team explain that the large smartphone will still feel human, tactile, and comfortable.

The phone comes with a pillowed design, as well as with a display curved at the edges, while the interchangeable cover shells for the device have been built of a single piece of translucent polycarbonate.

The shells also sport a layered inner color that allows them to “glow from within,” Nokia’s designers claim.

“The feel of the Nokia Lumia 625 is completed with a matt finish. This surface allows the layered color to appear in a more subtle way, adding altogether to the magical feel,” said blog post reads.
