Nokia has been long rumored to plan on bringing the PureView imaging technology to its Windows Phone-based devices, but no official confirmation on the matter has emerged until now.

However, it appears that the company is indeed working on this, and that it might not be too long before it will unite the two in a commercially available product.

Chris Webber, president of Nokia U.S., let it slip in an interview with Howard Forums that the company is actively working on making the technology available for Windows Phone.

Considering the great imaging capabilities that this technology brought to Nokia’s 808 PureView, we can expect very appealing Windows Phones to arrive on shelves soon.

However, we should still wait for Nokia to make a formal announcement on this before getting our hopes high. You can have a look at said interview above.
