Potential improvement for Nokia E90

A new firmware coming form Nokia should bring A-GPS services for its E90 owners. Just in due time, we'd say, as the smartphone really needs some improvements to make it somewhat more appealing to potential customers.

Nokia E90 Communicator has been released earlier this year, aiming to bring a fresh solution to the line of such devices. Its price has registered a considerable drop since then, which also reflects a lack of interest on the customers' side. As if that was not enough, reports came in complaining over microphone problems and display scratches caused by the phone's internal keyboard.

After a long period, ever since Nokia last said anything about GPS services, it looks like the producer intends to bring out a firmware update to improve the Communicator's performances. Last time this company spoke about GPS, it sounded enthusiast enough about it and stated that it looks to use it in most of its devices in the future, even in its less evolved ones.

Nokia E90 should receive A-GPS through the new firmware along with some other improvements. There is also the possibility that Quickoffice 4.5 will be packed in this impressive upgrade, making the smartphone capable of better responding to the user's needs.

The mobile phone looks to bring solutions to a large number of business and personal communication demands. At 210 grams in weight and some impressive sizes, it proves to be large and difficult to handle. It manages to bring some advantages, although nothing that smaller handsets are not capable of providing. The phone is HSDPA enabled and also brings Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Nokia has made no official announcement on the possibility for the E90 handset to receive this new firmware. Until they do, it will be only a rumor, a highly appealing possibility for those owning the device and feeling somewhat disappointed by what it was capable until now.
