Nokia E72, one of the popular handsets in Nokia's Eseries, has just emerged in a new color version, namely white. The device is joining a wide range of other Nokia phones that come with models dressed up in white, including Nokia N97, Nokia X6 and others. Moreover, the Nokia E72 has received a new software update too, bringing more flavor into the mix.

According to a recent post on Nokia Conversations, the white Nokia E72 arrives on the market with a series of accessories in the package. Among them, we can count the Nokia BH-216 bluetooth headset, coupled with the Nokia C-313 jeweler. At the same time, the aforementioned post notes that the white dressing of Nokia E72 continues on the inside of the device's casing, and that it is accompanied by an exclusive white theme and by a personalized homescreen.

Business users will find the white Nokia E72 boasting the same features as the already existing models. The phone comes in a 10mm slim casing, boasts a 5-megapixel photo snapper, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and built-in AGPS receiver. The handset offers one-click access to calendar, contacts, and (push) email, as well as IM capabilities like Ovi, Google Talk and Yahoo! Messenger.

In addition to a new coat, Nokia E72 also received a software update. All available handsets can download and install the new software solution via the Nokia Software Updater, so as to benefit from new features delivered to them. Among these novelties, we can count the latest version of Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation, Internet radio bundled in the firmware, along with free Lonely Planet and Michelin guides.

Other enhancements the new update for Nokia E72 comes with include social networking improvements, with options to share location on Facebook, or to check the weather on various places. Stability and performance improvements are also included in the solution, affecting Email, Calendar, Contacts and Browser. Those interested in the firmware update should backup all data on their device before proceeding, just to make sure that no important information is lost in the process.
