We reported yesterday that Rogers Wireless was planning to add the White Nokia E71 to its offering in the near future, and the carrier was believed to be the first one in the North American continent to offer the white variant of the handset. Yet it seems that we were all wrong, as the device has already made it to the continent, only to surface on the lineup of a rather small operator from Ohio.

The first White Nokia E71 in the North American continent can already be acquired from the Ohio carrier Cincinnati Bell, and that is not all. The mobile phone operator has the handset for free upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement for its services.

That really comes as a surprise for a lot of people, yet it can only make Nokia fans rejoice, especially if Cincinnati Bell's network provides them with the coverage. And we must agree that things couldn't be better, especially when it comes to the price tag of the device.

On the other hand, those looking to have their own White Nokia E71 but who don't want to be tied up to a specific carrier can also find the mobile phone unlocked at buy.com. The price tag of the unlocked device is $369.99, to which shipping costs are added, so you'll finally have to pay $377.42 for the handset when it arrives to you.

What the Nokia E71 dressed in White has to offer when it comes to capabilities and features is a full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, a QVGA display, GPS navigation capabilities, Wi-Fi and 3G data connection, as well as Bluetooth. The specification list does not end here, and all the nice features are packed inside a slim, sleek design, meant to draw attention even more.
