Nokia E7 has just been spotted on O2's “coming soon” page and is preparing to make its debut in UK in May. The Symbian smartphone will also be available from Vodafone and Three UK, but no release date has been disclosed yet.

One of the most expected high-end smartphones from the Finnish manufacturer portfolio, the Nokia E7 comes with a large 4-inch ClearBlack display and runs on the Symbian^3 mobile platform.

The phone has a side-slide form factor and features a full QWERTY keyboard, so users can enjoy advanced input options.

In addition, the device supports business applications from the manufacturer's enterprise technology partners including Microsoft and IBM.

Touted as the 'ultimate business smartphone', Nokia E7 provides direct, secure and real-time access to email, calendar, contacts, tasks and the corporate directory through Microsoft Exchange servers, as well as Office Communicator Mobile, especially developed by Microsoft for Nokia smartphones.

Some of the strong points of the Nokia E7 include the 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, as well as WiFi and HSDPA connectivity capabilities.

The Symbian^3-powered smartphone is powered by an ARM 11 680 MHz processor (3D Graphics HW accelerator) and provides access to the Ovi Store, where users can find various Symbian applications available for download.

Other key features of the E7 include GPRS and EDGE class 32, 16 GB of internal memory, 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, USB with On-The-Go support, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS with A-GPS support.

Furthermore, the phone offers drive or walk navigation in 80 countries, as the latest commercial version of Ovi Maps, provides detailed information about subways, trams and trains, real-time traffic, and safety alerts.

No word on the Nokia E7's pricing yet, but O2 UK is likely to offer the smartphone on various plans.
