Finnish handset manufacturer Nokia has just announced the availability of its Nokia E6 smartphone with Symbian Anna on board

The business handset can be purchased starting today from all Nokia stores and authorized sellers for a suggested retail price of €400 off-contract.

However, it appears that the smartphone can be bought for as low as €320 from various online retailers.

It will be interesting to find which carrier will pick the E6 and the price options offered to customers.

The sequel of the Nokia E71 and E72 business handsets, Nokia E6 is the second smartphone to be delivered with Symbian Anna out-of-the-box after Nokia X7-00, which hit shelves a bit earlier.

Nokia E6 comes with a small 2.46-inch capacitive touchscreen display, with 16 million colors support and 640 x 480 pixels resolution.

Following the same Blackberry-esque design line of the Eseries, the E6 offers users a full portrait QWERTY keyboard that makes it easier to text while on the go.

On the inside, the E6 is far from impressive, but this is something that Nokia fans regard with indifference.

The phone is equipped with a single core ARM 11 processor clocked at 600 MHz and packs 8 GB of internal memory, 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Fortunately, the phone is made to appeal at first glance, as Nokia used premium materials such as glass and stainless steel to manufacture the smartphone.

Nokia E6 offers the best out-of-the-box Microsoft messaging experience on a business smartphone, including access to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Communicator Mobile, and Microsoft SharePoint.

Delivered with Symbian Anna on board, Nokia E6 offers an improved user experience with a host of usability enhancements, including improved text input, a faster internet browsing experience, and a refreshed Ovi Maps application.
