14 DAY TRIAL // Espoo, Finland-based mobile phone maker Nokia is gearing up for putting on shelves the latest Symbian smartphones it unveiled to the world, and has just made the Nokia E6 available for pre-order in more markets in Europe.
Following the emergence of this device on the company's website in Germany or Finland, users in the UK also have the possibility to reserve a unit for when it hits shelves in late June.
On the Nokia Uk website, this is the release time frame the Nokia E6 is listed with, while the price tag seems to have been set at £349, VAT included.
This is of course the free of contract price tag for the new smartphone, but users would also have the possibility to purchase it on monthly plans, for free on £25 per month, or on Pay As You Go, for £339.
Straight from Nokia's website, the E6 is available on monthly plans at T-Mobile or Vodafone, while PAYG options include offerings from Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
What is interesting to note is that Nokia says that reserved handsets would be shipped on June 6th: “Pre-order your Nokia E6 today for delivery 6th Jun.”
The Nokia E6 is the latest handset from the company to put together a touchscreen display and a physical QWERTY keypad in a candybar form factor.
“Nokia E6 is a compact business Touch & Type phone with up to 14 hours battery life and Microsoft messaging services. 8 MP full focus Camera with dual led flash. Create, edit and share Word, Excel and PowerPoint docs on your phone,” the company notes on its website.
The specifications list of the new mobile phone would include 8 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot with support for 32GB more, 2.46-inch touch screen, or an 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording, or a VGSA camera on the front.
The Nokia E6 also comes with support for 3G networks, as well as for WiFi IEEE802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB, 3.5 mm AV connector with support for TV-out, FM Radio, GPS receiver, and Video calling capabilities.
