14 DAY TRIAL // Nokia E6, the Symbian Anna-based mobile phone that Nokia unveiled several weeks ago, is now in stock in the UK, the company notes on its website.
Featuring a Touch&Type design, the new mobile phone pairs a 2.46-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a full QWERTY keyboard on a candybar form factor.
On Nokia's UK online store, the E6 is listed with a price tag of £349.00 attached to it if purchased contract free.
However, users can also choose to acquire the device on Pay As You Go deals, for £339, or for free on monthly plans that start at £25 per month.
The smartphone is listed as available in three color versions, namely black, silver and white.
The new mobile phone was unveiled in early April, and is one of the two Symbian Anna powered handsets that Nokia brought to the spotlight until now.
It comes with an 8 GB internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.
On the back, the phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with full focus and support for video calling, complemented by a VGA camera on the front, for video calling.
The mobile phone features WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g/n connectivity, along with GPRS/EDGE class B, multislot class 33, HSDPA Cat9, maximum speed up to 10.2 Mbps capabilities, and Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5 mm AV connector with support for TV-out and micro USB connector.
Nokia packed it with a BP-4L 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that can deliver up to 14 h 48 min talk time on GSM (7 h 30 min on WCDMA), or up to 681 hours of standby time on GSM (744 h on WCDMA). The Nokia E6 measures 115.5 x 59 x 10.5 mm and weighs in at 133 grams with the battery included.
Running under Symbian Anna, the handset also offers multimedia capabilities, as well as GPS, A-GPS receivers with support for Ovi Maps with free car and pedestrian navigation, full web browsing of real web pages, email and messaging capabilities, Flash Lite 4.0, and support for a wide range of applications available through the Ovi Store.
