It seems that today Polish mobile phone users in Warsaw could have a look at yet another nice mobile phone the Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia unveiled in the country, the Nokia E52, which is reported to boast impressive talk time, namely eight full hours on a single charge. The new handset comes to the market both as an upgrade to the popular E51 as well as a traditional candybar version of the E75.

Our own Cosmin Vasile was at the event, which celebrates 1 million Eseries handsets sold in Poland since 2007, and he says that, among the specifications that the new Nokia E52 comes with, we can count the 2.4-inch display that can provide a 320 x 240 pixel QVGA resolution as well as support for 16 million colors, and a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, which also sports flash, noise cancellation technology and 3G, HSDPA, HSUPA, WLAN and EGPRS connectivity.

And since we're at connectivity options, we should also mention that the slimmest Eseries handset comes with Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo audio and a high-speed MicroUSB connector. More capabilities of the handset include Assisted GPS (A-GPS) and support for Nokia Maps, as well as a wide range of messaging functionality, including Mail for Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, Nokia Messaging and POP/IMAP, along with selected 3rd party solutions, not to mention support for social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.

The Nokia E52 measures 116 x 49 x 9.9 mm and weighs 98g, sports a metal case, while its battery is capable of keeping it in standby for up to 29 days, in addition to the 8 hours of talk time we already mentioned. The internal memory of the device rises up to 60Mb, yet there is also a microSD memory card slot that allows for up to 16GB of additional storage space to be used.

Here's what Nokia has to say about the device: “The Nokia E52 will ship with a 1GB microSD card and a free 60 day trial for Files on Ovi. It’ll be available in two colours, metal grey and golden aluminium which will help show off the 2.4-inch display (which also has automatic landscape support). The device also sports a compass alongside Nokia Maps and A-GPS. Plus, with speedy HSDPA (10.2Mb per second) and newer HSUPA upload access at up to 2Mb per second, the E52 is equipped for effortless content sharing on the move.”

At the same time, the phone maker mentions built-in mobile VPN, which is meant to facilitate access to company intranets. The phone also includes Call Connect support, offering businesses the possibility to integrate it with corporate phone systems, so that users would be contactable via a single phone number and have a single voicemail box, while being provided with least-cost call routing.

According to Nokia, the new device will go on sale in the second half of the ongoing year, most probably in the third quarter, and the estimated retail price it will sport, before taxes or subsidies, is expected to be of €245. In the meantime, you can check out the hands-on video that is available with the Nokia E52.
