Orange UK has just enlisted Nokia E5 smartphone on its Coming Soon webpage on a pay monthly contract. Thus, customers will be able to get the device for free, according to the contract they choose. One of the latest Eseries smartphones was officially introduced in April 2010 and will probably be available overseas also, thanks to its GSM quad-band and tri-band WCDMA compatibility.

Nokia E5 is powered by an ARM11 600 MHz processor and runs Symbian v9.3, Series 60 rel. 3.2 platform. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with fixed-focus, LED flash and video recording capabilities (VGA@15fps). The phone is listed on Nokia's official website as having support for HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, but Orange UK only offers the phone with HSDPA 7.2Mbps.

Other key features of the handset include: 2.36-inch TFT with 262K colors display (320 x 240 pixels resolution), full QWERTY keyboard, 250 MB internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 32GB, 2GB included), GPRS and EDGE Class 32, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP & DLNA technology, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Stereo FM radio with RDS, GPS with A-GPS support (OviMaps), 3.5mm audio jack.

The phone measures 115 x 58.9 x 12.8 mm and weighs about 126g (including battery). The sleek bar smartphone features a 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery that has a pretty high life autonomy: up to 635 h (670 h for 3G) in standby mode and up to 12 h and ten minutes (5 h 30 min for 3G) in talk time mode.

Orange UK hasn't disclosed any information about its shipping date, but at least we know we can get it for free for select plans.
