Nokia Drive Hacked for More Windows Phones

Nokia Maps, the leading navigation service that Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has put in place for the owners of devices powered by Symbian and Windows Phone Mango, packs a feature that will be available only for the handset vendor's Windows Phones, namely Nokia Drive.

While Maps was supposed to land on all Windows Phones out there, Nokia Drive, the voice navigation feature attached to the service, was supposed to be exclusive to Nokia phones, but not anymore.

Some enthusiasts already managed to hack Nokia Drive and to make it available for more Windows Phone devices out there, WMPoweruser notes. The feature was ported to the Samsung Omnia 7, and is expected to make it inside more devices as well.

Nokia's navigation service is very popular among mobile users that own Symbian devices, and is expected to prove successful on Windows Phone as well, even if the voice guidance might not be made available for all users.
