A new software solution has been brought to light by the guys over at Nokia Beta Labs, in the form of an experimental troubleshooting application called Nokia Diagnostics. According to the developing team, the new software is meant to become a solution that should offer Nokia users the possibility to easily diagnose, troubleshoot, and configure devices on their own, something that would undoubtedly prove quite helpful in the end.

Here's what the developers note on the Nokia Beta Labs blog: “With Nokia Diagnostics, you can diagnose, troubleshoot and configure your device using five different tests: - Network Coverage test. You can get all the network related information and detect offline status & SIM card presence. - Internet Connectivity test. Perform a real-time Internet connectivity test and identify the setting with which you can have a seamless Internet access. - Battery Charger test. Check if your device charges properly with the charger connected. - Loudspeaker, Earpiece test. Check your loudspeaker & earpiece functionality.”

The new application comes only as a prototype for the time being, and is aimed mainly at the Beta Labs community, so that feedback is received and the software solution gets perfected. Those interested in the new Nokia Diagnostics app should go ahead and download it, and, after giving it a try, they should also share some of their findings with the developing team.

“Please download the application, try it out on your device, and post your feedback at Beta Labs. In particular, we are interested in hearing about other diagnostic tests you would expect to see in such an application,” the blog post notes. However, in case there are some who are not yet ready to try the solution on their own, they can give it a thought while watching the video below, in which the Nokia Beta Labs unveils a few more details on how the application works.
