Nokia has been rumored not long ago to plan the launch of Windows Phone 8 devices featuring large touchscreens, and it appears that a Nokia designer has already hinted at such devices being in the pipeline.

Stefan Pannenbecker, head of product design at Nokia, told Vodafone that, considering the fact that many users are interested in smartphones with larger screens, the company is looking at releasing devices that would offer them more options.

“[…] It’s absolutely legitimate to create products with big displays and products with small displays, because different people will use them differently. […] But I can totally see why people might like bigger displays. At Nokia we like to give people some choice as to how they want to use the product,” he said.

As WMPoweruser notes, he also pointed at the fact that Nokia was considering the launch of thinner smartphones with smaller bezels.
