Rumors about Nokia putting the Windows 8 on a tablet emerged last month, but the Finnish company did not make any comments on the rumors at that time.

Although the rumors cited Nokia’s official in France, Paul Amsellem, as saying that the handset manufacturer plans to have a tablet computer running Windows 8 ready by June 2012, it appears they have been denied by Stephen Elop.

Nokia’s CEO said late Sunday that the company “does not have an exact plan, but we are studying the markets carefully. Perhaps we will come [to market] one day.”

Even though Nokia’s official denies plans for a computer tablet it does not entirely remove the idea of building such a device one day.

There’s a high chance that Nokia plans for the tablets market are directly related with its Windows Phone smartphone and how well they will be received on the market.
