We reported yesterday on the possible release of the Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones in India on January 11, and now we have more info pointing to the same launch date.

MyNokiaBlog reports that Nokia Care India replied via email to several Indian customers inquiring for the availability of the Lumia 920 in the country.

According to the Finnish handset maker, Nokia Lumia 920 is set to hit shelves in India on January 11: “in response to your email, I would like to inform you that the official information regarding the launch date of Nokia Lumia 920 device is January 11, 2013.”

Unfortunately, the company did not offer any details on the phone’s pricing options, but we expect that more info will emerge closer to launch date.

“Further, we cannot comment about the pre-booking of Nokia Lumia 920. As soon as it gets launched, or there will be any update regarding the price, it would be updated on our official website,” wrote Nokia Care India in its email.

According to the latest hearsay, Nokia Lumia 920 might be available for purchase in India for around Rs 40,000 ($725/€550) outright.

It is also worth mentioning that Nokia’s flagship smartphone is likely to be launched alongside the Lumia 820, whereas the budget-friendly Lumia 620 is slated for a later January release.

No word on either of the two Windows Phone 8 devices’ price tag, but we will keep an eye out for this one.

The Lumia 920 is Nokia’s most advanced smartphone to date. The handset comes with a stunning 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack capacitive touchscreen display that supports 768 x 1280 pixels resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating.

On the inside, the smartphone packs a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
