The new application is compatible with all Lumia phones powered by WP8

Nokia has announced earlier today six new devices that will be available in the coming months. Some of these devices will be powered by Windows Phone platform and will offer top of the line camera features.

The Lumia 1520 comes with an impressive 20-megapixel rear-facing camera featuring PureView technology, Carl Zeiss optics, OIS (optical image stabilization), autofocus and dual-LED flash.

Software-wise, Nokia has promised a new camera application that will offer improved performance and better imaging results. The Nokia Camera app that has just been released on Windows Phone Store integrates both Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Smart Cam features.

It has an Auto mode that makes it easier for users to capture good-looking images. Nokia Camera also provides quick access to sport and night controls.

With the Smart mode, users will be able to shoot a sequence of photos that can be combined in different ways. According to Nokia, users will also be able to change faces in group shots.

You can now download Nokia Camera 4.2.2.8 for Windows Phone 8 for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application will only run on devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
