In addition to making a new version of the Xbox Video application available for download for all Windows Phone users out there, Microsoft has also released updated flavors of the Nokia Camera Beta and Nokia Storyteller apps, which are exclusive to Lumia handsets.

Today, those who own a compatible Nokia Lumia smartphone can download Nokia Camera Beta as version 4.7.1.9, while expecting a nice range of fixes inside it.

Various Camera Roll delays that users have spotted in the previous app iteration have been resolved in the new release, thus offering a far better experience to all of them.

Moreover, the application’s release notes unveil that the update fixes a bug that caused the application to crash when reframing photos taken with the front-facing camera. At the same time, it seems that videos will no longer be corrupt when recording over the 4GB limit.

Various other bug fixes and improvements were also included in the updated application release, Microsoft notes in the Windows Phone Store.

Although it sports a beta tag, the app is pretty safe to use every day, but keep in mind that it is not available on all Lumia smartphones out there.

Nokia Storyteller, currently available for download as version 2.0.4.5, now offers support for displaying Living Images, the available release notes unveil.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Living Images is a feature announced back in April and set to arrive on Nokia Lumia 930 out of the box.

The feature was designed to offer a brand new experience when it comes to viewing photos on a smartphone, and was meant to become available for other Lumia handsets as well.

With the latest update for Nokia Storyteller, the functionality is now available in this app (Nokia Camera also supports it). However, living images are very short, less than a second each, as the feature was actually meant to be very discreet.

With Nokia Storyteller, however, things are quite different. The application can create a 30-second story video through combining photos and videos in a story that also features a backing track.

The available release notes for the software also unveil that it now offers integration with Nokia Creative Studio and Nokia Video Trimmer for editing photos and videos. The app will also associate location data and photos.

Both Nokia Camera Beta 4.7.1.9 and Nokia Storyteller 2.0.4.5 applications are available for download through the Windows Phone Store, with support for all Lumia devices running under Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 OS versions.
