Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has unveiled only recently a new lineup of handsets, the Cseries, which debuted with the Nokia C5, a quite affordable Symbian-based smartphone. Considering the capabilities and price tag of C5, most of us thought that the Cseries would include entry-level smartphones, priced in line with existing feature phones, yet it seems that they might actually come with features higher than expected, at least this is what that recently leaked Nokia C6 suggests. The second handset to be released by Nokia in its new Cseries lineup is reportedly including both a touchscreen display and a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, basically bringing it in line with the already available Nokia N97 and Nokia N97 mini, both of which are high-end smartphones, as the guys over at Tom’s Guide state. The device indeed looks a lot as the already launched N97 phones, as the allegedly leaked rendering with it shows.

The Nokia C6 is expected to arrive on the market with the Symbian S60 5th edition operating system, making it the third side-slider handset powered by this platform to be released by Nokia. This means that it should include a great deal of features that are currently available with the N97 handsets, thus making it very appealing to a lot of users out there. In case the rumor pans out in the end, of course.

Among the known specs of the phone, we can count 256 MB of internal memory, which means that it should also include a microSD memory card slot, considering the fact that Nokia N97 comes with 32GB of storage space, while N97 mini includes 8GB. In addition, one can see that it will include a trackpad, and the report suggests that the touchscreen is not tilting, as with the N97. However, according to GSM Arena, users should expect a high resolution for the screen, as well as 3G connectivity and GPS receiver to be included in the package.
