Canadian carrier Videotron is preparing to add the Nokia C5-04 smartphone to its lineup. Although the phone has been recently listed on the regional carrier's website, it seems that that device's information page was pulled out.

It is unclear why Videotron decided to delay the launch of the entry-level smartphone, but customers living in Quebec can also get the phone from WIND for only $150 off-contract.

For what is worth, Videotron's Nokia C5-04 will be available for $209.95 without contract or as low as $39.95 on a “reduced price.”

Nokia C5-04 is a specially re-branded C5-03 smartphone, which suffered small modifications, and mostly not in its favor.

The 5-megapixel camera of the 'standard' version has been replaced with a sub-par 2-megapixel photo snapper, but the internal storage has been increased from 40MB to 60MB.

Nokia C5-04 is also a bit heavier at 100g (battery included), compared with the C5-03 that weighs 7g less.

The bar phone runs Symbian^1 platform and measures 105.8 x 50.8 x 13.8 mm. It has a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 340 x 640 pixels resolution.

Unlike the C5-03, the re-branded version for various carriers in the North America does not feature Wi-Fi connectivity, which seems to be its major drawback.

Furthermore, the smartphone is equipped with integrated GPS (Ovi Maps), native support for email, including Word, Excel, Stereo FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB, 2GB memory card included).

In addition to Bubble Bash 2 and Brain Challenge 2 games, the phone comes pre-loaded with Facebook, YouTube and MySpace apps, as well as Photo and Video editors.

Nokia C5-04 is powered by a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 4 hours and 30 minutes of talk time or up to 470 hours of standby.
