Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has just made available for purchase on the market in the UK a new appealing handset, the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type, was put on sale with both contract and off-contract options.

Just as the name suggests, the new device offers users the possibility to enjoy both a touchscreen display, as well as a physical keyboard with the handset.

However, the phone is a lower-end device, and sports the same form factor as many other Nokia devices included in this market segment.

“Flip through photos or browse web pages on the touch screen and type using the keypad for easy messaging – all with one hand,” the company notes on its website.

In case there are some interested in purchasing the new Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type on a Pay As You Go basis, they would find it available on Nokia's website here, with the possibility to have it on Vodafone, O2 or T-Mobile.

The price tag for the new device was set at £149.00, regardless the wireless carrier.

Those who would like to get the phone with a new contract agreement would have to commit to a 24 month deal with either of the three wireless carriers, as Nokia shows here.

The phone is available for free on Vodafone's £20 monthly plan, as well as on T-Mobile's £15 per month option, and on O2's £25 per month offering.

While these wireless carriers already have the new Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type available for their users, another operator will add it to its offering soon, namely Orange.

The wireless services provider already lists the device on its website as coming soon for free, but does not offer specific info on the monthly plan on which it would make it available.

“A modern twist on classic style, the Nokia C3 Touch and Type gives you the best of both worlds with its traditional keyboard combined with the benefits of a touch screen,” Orange notes on its website.

“Gone are the days of grey plastic, replaced by sleek stainless steel. With 3G/HSPA and WiFi, 5-megapixel camera, email and social networking, this is one phone that’s definitely not stuck in the past,” the carrier continues.
