Even though Nokia announced that it will drop its Symbian smartphone business, as well as the S40 phones business in North America, it looks like the company is still launching handset in other regions.

The Finnish handset manufacturer has just announced the release of two dual-SIM phones, the C2-03 and C2-06, along with the Nokia C2-02 feature-phone.

All three handsets are part of Nokia's 'Touch and Type' series and will be available in India starting this week.

As for the pricing, Nokia stated that the C2-02 will be available for Rs. 4,289 (about $95), the C2-03 will cost Rs. 4,949 (about $110), while the C2-06 is priced at Rs. 5,349 (about $118).

These 'Touch & Type' phones offer internet, maps and apps experience second to none in the market. With the choice of a touch screen or a keypad, we really have made everything available and easy to use in an affordable phone that comes in both dual and single SIM options,” said Ravi Kunwar, Regional General Manager (North), Nokia India.

The newly announced phones are packed with a 2-megapixel camera, Stereo FM radio, media player, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

All three feature push messaging options, along with support for a wide range of IM providers, as well as Ovi Store.

Furthermore, the phones deliver a faster and improved Internet browsing experience through the data compression technology of the Nokia Browser.

With pre-installed apps on the phones and with the Nokia Browser that serves up relevant local content faster, we are making the internet experience easy, fast and affordable for all,” added Kunwar.

In addition, the phones come pre-loaded with Nokia Life Tools that helps improve life and work for customers across India.

Those who are not familiar with the Nokia Life Tools should know that this is a basic SMS-based service that offers a range of agricultural information, education and health services.
