Nokia’s Asha series of feature-phones is aimed at emerging markets, but word is that the quality of the phones is not as good as expected.

The Finnish company built its reputation of the quality of its feature-phones, but the latest products on the Asha family are not on par with old models.

Anyway, Nokia is trying to offer customers an improved user experience through various services and apps, meant to make their lives easier.

Mail for Exchange services offers push email, calendar and contact data synchronization between compatible Microsoft Exchange email servers, and is now available for two Asha mobile phones, 302 and 303.

Nokia Asha phones blur the lines between feature phones and smartphones, and Mail for Exchange on the Asha 302 and Asha 303 represents a significant step forward in connecting the next billion people to more critical information around them,” said Dieter May, senior vice president, Mobile Phones Services.

According to Nokia, the addition of this service to such affordable phones will allow entrepreneurs and businesses in emerging and high growth markets to deal with business opportunities while on the go.

Keep in mind that Mail for Exchange supports Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010 Servers, and Microsoft Office 365 Mobility online service on the Nokia Asha 302 and 303.

There’s more to it, as Nokia fans who own one of the two compatible Asha models will be able to take advantage of the encrypted email storage, as well as a variety of supported Exchange ActiveSync security policies, such as alphanumeric password, minimum length for password and remote or local wipe after maximum password attempts.

Nokia also mentioned that the availability of Mail for Exchange for the Asha 302 and Asha 303 might vary from market to market, so if it’s not available in your country, then you’ll have to wait a bit longer.

Mail for Exchange on Asha 302 and Asha 303 helps to reduce costs by eliminating the need for expensive middleware, speeds up processes and enables business users to respond quickly to customer needs or communicate on the go, giving businesses more opportunity to succeed in today's fast-paced world,” May concluded.
