14 DAY TRIAL // The Nokia Bots is the latest software solution available for the owners of a Nokia smartphone, coming straight from the Nokia Beta Labs. The solution has been released as a collection of add-ons, which have been designed so as to learn about one's preferences based on the manner in which the device is used. Four add-ons have been included in the package now, and they are available for N97 and N97 mini (S60 3rd Edition devices cannot taste it yet).
“Nokia Bots is a collection of add-ons that autonomously learn your personal preferences, and improve user experience with new, customized features and tricks. These add-ons, or Bots, observe how the phone is being used and automatically configure and activate themselves, if customization seems relevant. The Bots ‘live’ within a single homescreen widget, where their status, messages and suggestions are presented to you,” the solution is described over at Nokia Beta Labs.
The four add-ons in Nokia Bots are: - Profile Bot helps you by automating profile changes during meetings. - Alarm Bot learns at what time you usually wake up, and suggests alarms and profile changes nightly. - Shortcut Bot provides quick access to your most frequently used applications. Your preferences are learned in the background, and shortcuts automatically updated. - Battery Bot lets you know if your battery needs to be charged in the evening before you go to sleep.
The Profile Bot has been created to make sure that one won't ever forget to change the profile when in a meeting, and users will be able to confirm automated profile changes with a simple click. The Alarm Bot is set to learn when one usually wakes up and suggests alarms and profile changes on the homescreen nightly. The Shortcut Bot will make it easy to access preferred applications, while the Battery Bot is there to let you know whether the battery drains while you are asleep.
