Nokia Lumia 1020, the 41-megapixel smartphone from Nokia, can offer an improved camera experience following the update to the new Nokia Black software release, it seems.

A series of tests performed on the handset confirm that the new firmware release brings along said enhancements, as screenshots coming from Sofica.fi show.

Nokia Lumia 1020 running under the Black update has been compared in terms of camera capabilities of the device with an older OS version loaded on top.

Apparently, the phone sports better color representation in following the update, less noise, and sharper edges, as PhoneArena notes. However, the speed of the camera between shots hasn’t been improved, which means that this might be a hardware-related issue.

The good news, however, is that Lumia 925 users out there will also enjoy said enhancements when updating to Nokia Black.
