Today, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia announced the availability of a new app and service for the owners of Nokia Asha Touch devices in Russia, namely Nokia Music with Mix Radio.

The feature will be rolled out to more Asha Touch users in the coming weeks, so that all owners of Asha 305, 306 308, 309, 310 and 311 devices could take advantage of it (specific details on each market roll-out will be provided at a later date).

With Nokia Music on their handsets, users will enjoy access to around 24 million tracks while on the go, available globally, all only one tap away, Nokia notes.

“We’ve had really positive feedback from users of Nokia Music on Lumia smartphones and we wanted more people to have access to this innovative, free music service,” Jyrki Rosenberg, Nokia’s vice president of Entertainment, said, according to Nokia Conversations.

“There’s nothing quite like it for phones in this price range and I believe it will change the way many people listen to music in Russia.”

Nokia Music is accompanied by Mix Radio, a service that enables users to enjoy free personalized music from different genres or categories. Over 100 different channels area already available for users, all of which are refreshed weekly.

The best part of the deal is the fact that Asha Touch users will be able to download Mixes they like from Nokia Music, so that they could listen to songs even when offline.

Owners of Asha Touch devices will be able to take advantage of Nokia Music on various networks, including 2G and 3G ones, as well as over WiFi, regardless of whether they want to stream music or download songs (data charges might occur).

“Storing Mixes offline is perfect when travelling and your music will continue to play if you encounter network ‘not-spots’ or when network usage is restricted; on an airplane, for example,” Nokia Conversations notes.

“Up-to four Mixes can be stored on your phone at any one time, each containing hours of music. If you already have four Mixes and want to add another, you can conveniently replace a previously saved Mix.”

Users will also be able to come up with their own Mixes straight from the phone, by simply typing the name of three favorite artists. The service will automatically deliver a Mix based on and including these artists.
