As expected, Nokia has just announced the upcoming availability of three new Asha devices: 500, 502 and 503. All three handsets will be available for purchase in Q4 2013.

According to Nokia, the handsets will be available in bright red, bright green, yellow, cyan, white, and black for $69 (€50), $89 (€65) and $99 (€72) respectively.

As the price tags suggest, these are entry-level handsets with powerful software features. Before going into detail, we should mention that Nokia has confirmed that WhastApp Messenger will arrive on Nokia Asha phones next month.

Keep in mind though that WhatsApp will be initially available for Nokia Asha 501, while the Asha 500, 502 and 503 will receive support for the instant messaging app soon after.

Specs-wise, Nokia Asha 500 sports a small 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a 2-megapixel rear camera. It will come in both single SIM and Easy Swap dual-SIM variant.

Nokia has confirmed that the Asha 500 will be rolled out this quarter in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East for $69 (€50).

The Asha 502 packs a slightly larger 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus. This one will only be available in an Easy Swap dual-SIM configuration.

The Finnish company has stated that the smartphone will be available beginning Q4 2013 in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East for $89 (€65).

Last but not least, Nokia Asha 503 features a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing photo snapper. The handset will be available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM versions.

Nokia Asha 503 will start shipping this quarter in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East for $99 (€72) outright.

All three Asha phones will come pre-loaded with lots of dedicated apps and services including Nmimbuzz Messenger (VoIP support), ESPN F1, ESPN FC, ESPN Hub, Goal Live Scores, LINE with Free Voice Calls, Photofunia, PicFeed, and PicTag.
