Nokia India has just announced the immediate availability of the Asha 303 feature-phone in the country. It appears that the handset has been priced at Rs 8,899 (180 USD or 135 EUR), but other authorized reseller may have better deals.

Flipkart will soon be offering the Nokia Asha 303 as well, for only Rs 7765 (155 USD or 120 EUR), but for the moment the handset is “Out of stock.” Hopefully, the online retailer will get the Asha 303 in stock within the next few days.

According to NDTV, Nokia and Vodafone India have teamed up to offer the Asha 303 along with several attractive data plans.

It appears that Vodafone will offer customers who purchase the Asha 303 1GB of free 2G/3G mobile data for 4 months. Those who plan on buying the Asha 303 should know that they will be able to choose from two colors, Red and Graphite.

Nokia Asha 303 is a feature-phone based on the Finnish company’s S40 UI. The phone comes bundled with deep social networking integration, and lots of productivity and messaging apps, including Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter.

Other apps pre-loaded on the Asha 303 include: Angry Birds Lite, Mobile TV with Zenga TV and Nokia Music Unlimited.

Although this is a budget-friendly feature-phone, Nokia Asha 303 is equipped with a powerful 1 GHz single core processor and packs 256 MB of ROM and 128 MB of RAM.

There’s also 170 MB of internal memory (100 MB user available) and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, the handset sports a 3.2-megapixel camera with fixed focus, face detection and video recording. The main selling point of the Asha 303 is the full QWERTY keyboard combined with the 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display (320 x 240 pixels).

Other highlight of the phone include: HSDPA (10.2Mbps) and Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, as well as microUSB HS with on-the-go support.
