Nokia Asha 300 and 303 are the “advanced” handsets of the Asha series. They both come with touchscreen displays and 1 GHz processors.

However, the Asha 300 seems to be less attractive when put against the Asha 303. The phone features a bar form factor with round edges and comes with a regular numeric keypad.

Although the Asha 300 is a touch device, it has an obsolete 2.4-inch resistive touchscreen display with 262k colors support and 240 x 320 pixels resolution.

On the positive side, it is equipped with a powerful single core 1GHz processor and 3G support, which provides users with faster Internet and social networking experiences.

According to Nokia, the integrated mobile web browser is capable of compressing web pages by up to 90%.

In addition, Nokia Asha 300 sports a 5-megapixel camera with fixed focus, a music player, FM radio function, Bluetooth connectivity, 140 MB of internal memory, 256 MB of ROM, 128 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Moreover, the phone's pièce de résistance is the popular Angry Birds game that comes pre-loaded on the Asha 300.

Nokia Asha 300 is expected to arrive in stores in Q4 2011 for a suggested retail price of 85 EUR ($118), excluding taxes and subsidies.

Nokia Asha 303 is the best that Asha series can offer at the moment, hence the higher price. It comes with a 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen with 262k colors support and 320 x 240 pixels resolution.

Built from premium materials and metallic finishes, Asha 303 offers a comfortable QWERTY keyboard, allowing for faster typing.

Just like Asha 300, this one is equipped with a single core 1Ghz processor and 3G support. However, Nokia Asha 303 also adds WLAN connectivity to its specs sheet.

The phone packs a 3.2-megapixel camera with fixed focus and comes with several popular apps, including Angry Birds Lite, Facebook Chat, Whatsapp messaging and Nokia Maps for Series 40.

Nokia Asha 300 is expected to hit shelves in Q4 2011 for a suggested retail price of 115 EUR ($160), excluding taxes and subsidies.
