Yesterday, Nokia announced that it had started the rollout of the Lumia Black software update globally. However, only two smartphones are eligible for the update for the moment, Lumia 1020 and 925.

The Finnish company detailed the new features and improvements included in the Lumia Black update and confirmed that it would offer the App Folder feature, which allows users to group similar apps and settings into a single folder.

Oddly, App Folder wasn’t available for Lumia 1020 and 925 when the Lumia Black update arrived, but Nokia quickly remedied the issue and published the application on Windows Phone Store.

The good news is that App Folder not only works on Lumia smartphones that have already received the GDR3 update, but it’s also available for GDR2 Lumia handsets, WMPoweruser reports.

You can now download App Folder for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. As mentioned earlier, the application is exclusively available for Nokia Lumia smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
