Espoo, Finland-based mobile phone maker Nokia and leading provider of Mobile Payments and License Management Tanla Solutions Ltd have announced today that they signed a 5-year agreement aimed at License Management, Mobile Payments and related professional services.

Tanla's Mobile Payment service is another aspect of the agreement Nokia will benefit from. The service will enable for on-device transactions to be performed, and Tanla is already offering these capabilities in a number of 160 countries via Mobile Operator and Credit Card billing. The company also noted that its mobile payment service was used by software vendors, developer and content providers so that secure transactions could be performed directly from mobile phones in a move that helps them monetize their content and services.

“This agreement further highlights our strong track record in processing secure transactions on the handset and our position as a trusted supplier of mobile payment services. Through a single integration with Tanla, application developers can monetize their services in 160 countries through operator and credit card billing” Uday added.
