The fact that Nokia will soon bring to the market handsets that will run under Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system is no mystery to anyone, though what exactly these devices will be all about has yet to be unveiled. One of the mobile phones that Nokia will bring to shelves with the new platform on board was long rumored to be the Nokia 800, and it seems that the handset has just been confirmed.

Some leaked shots from Nokia mention the phone's name and also put it in relation with Windows Phone, which shows not only that the device might indeed be real, but also the fact that it could hit shelves with Microsoft's mobile OS.

Having the device dubbed Nokia 800 would be in line with Nokia's recently adopted numbering scheme.

The company already made official handsets in the 500, 600, and 700 series, and we should expect for higher-end smartphones to be unveiled soon in the 800 line.

For the time being, however, all these are suppositions, even if based on what appears to be leaked documents from the maker itself.

Previously, Nokia showcased one of their Windows Phone devices, which featured the codename of Sea Ray, but the company has yet to announce the market naming of their Windows Phones.

While expected to be released as the Nokia 800 in a series of markets in Europe or Asia, the aforementioned device might be launched in the US with a completely different name attached to it.

Recently, Nokia created a new poll for users to cast votes on a series of names that Nokia might adopt for their future devices aimed at the US market, and some of those names are expected to be used for Windows Phone devices.

No info on the exact release date or pricing of Nokia's Windows Phones emerged either, but all should be unveiled in a matter of months, so stay tuned for more on this.
