14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless will have two new handsets available for its users in the very near future. Following the announcement regarding HTC Touch Pro2's availability, the carrier unveiled that, starting with September 13, the Nokia 7705 Twist would be available for purchase on its airwaves. The device comes in a square shape and features a swiveling design.
The Nokia 7705 Twist will come to Verizon's subscribers only through its website on Sunday, yet it is expected to become available through Verizon Wireless Communications Stores starting with September 21, the carrier announced. Priced at $99.99 after the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the operator and after a $50 mail-in rebate, the new device proves to be a fun addition to Big Red's lineup.
The specifications list of the phone shows a QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4-inch QVGA screen that can support up to 262K colors, a 3.0-megapixel photo snapper that also features vide recording capabilities, flash and auto focus, as well as a dedicated camera/video key, a 2.5 mm headset jack, EV-DO Rev. 0, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in mirror, speakerphone, voice commands, and more.
When it comes to the feature that the new Nokia 7705 Twist has been packed with, we can count web browsing capabilities, support for VZ Navigator, V CAST Music with Rhapsody, V CAST Video, Visual Voice Mail, Mobile Broadband Connect and Corporate Email, a “Post to Blogs” feature, Media Center-capable, support for Mobile Email, Mobile Web Mail, Chat and Blogs, as well as a Habitat mode that “a unique interface for visualizing your social circle and allows customers to easily organize their calls and messaging history.”
