Nokia is moving fast

Just a few days after Nokia has officially announced it, the 6555 phone model is now spotted on its way for a future release at a specific carrier. A leaked image of the phone shows it getting tested for a launch on the US market.

Things are moving at a fast pace with Nokia 6555, as the mobile phone is already heading towards a future release. The handset has been sent to FCC for its approval and a carrier's brand has already been added to the phone. A leaked image shows the mobile phone with AT&T's logo on the front, just where it is supposed to be placed once the phone gets released.

The fact that this is a real leaked image leaves aside the possibility of having an edited image of the phone with the logo simply added. It is clear now that AT&T has won the rights of bringing the stylish clamshell phone on this new market. This does not mean that it will happen any time in the near future, as the device has to be FCC approved first.

Nokia 6555 will bring HSDPA powered Internet, which is a feature rarely seen in the case of mobile phones on this market. Other than the added logo, no differences have been made in the case of this clamshell phone.

The handset brings a 2 megapixel camera with 6x zoom meant to provide fairly good image captures. It also comes with a 2-inch display screen capable of supporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Moreover, it also packs 30 MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot.

The official European release for Nokia 6555 is set for September, this year. Considering the speed that the Finnish company is going at this time, there are high chances for them to launch the phone at the same time in the US too.
